News sources:CHTF Organizing Committee Release Date:2018-11-13

The three Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are due to attend the 20th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF 2018) in Shenzhen from Nov 14 to 18, showcasing their technologies and seeking cooperation with Chinese partners.

Over the past 20 years, the relationship between China and the Baltic states has grown considerably, and cooperation in all aspects has continued to deepen. The Baltic countries' strategic status has been further enhanced due to their unique geographical location advantages since the launch of the Belt and Road Initiative. The stable political and economic environment and the importance they attach to relations with China has made the Baltic countries good partners in cooperating with China to build the Silk Road Economic Belt. Moreover, as EU members, the three countries have played a role in promoting the development of China-EU relations.

Hailed as "the most free market economy in Central Europe", Lithuania has a good investment environment. It ranked 24th in the 2015 World Business Environment Rankings, far exceeding other countries in the region. For the CHTF 2018, the country is bringing their Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology, and Ministry of Economy to the fair, as well as 12 companies including Molbertas, Evana Technologies and MFIX Asset Management.

Estonia has a mature electronic information technology industry. This year, Estonia will showcase the hi-tech products of three of the country’s companies including smart LED company Ampron, and Cityntel, which centers on smart city construction based on the next generation of IoT.

Latvia will also showcase their latest achievements and technologies with three companies: Zabbix, which centers on open source software development in the field of network and application monitoring; Enriga, which focuses on market research, sales and marketing strategies and planning; and company operations management and AR solution provider, Overly.

The pavilions for the three countries are located in Exhibition Hall 1 of the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.
