CHTF 2019 to open in Shenzhen

The 2019 China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) will take place at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on Nov 13, running to Nov 17. 

  

Themed on "Invigorating the Greater Bay Area through Opening-up and Innovation," the CHTF 2019 will showcase the latest products and advanced technologies in high-tech areas, spanning smart cities, smart healthcare, new materials, and optoelectronics display. 

  

During the CHTF 2018, a total of 1,746 new products, as well as 585 new technologies made their debut, with 80 companies holding special launching activities for their new products or technologies. 

  

Su Yanwei, deputy director of the organizing committee office of CHTF, said that more than 3,000 companies, 200 scientific research institutions, around 100 universities, as well as over 20 innovation centers will participate in this year’s event.

  

Apart from industrial giants like Huawei, ZTE, Han's Laser, Shenzhen China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co Ltd, and NTT Data, a batch of newly-started companies with high value, including Cambricon and Orbbec, will also showcase their products during the CHTF, said Su. 

  

Wang Lixin, deputy mayor of Shenzhen, said that the city has developed into a symbol of China's hi-tech industry development after four decades of growth and that Shenzhen should shoulder the responsibility as an engine in the construction of the international science and technology innovation center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. 

  

During the CHTF 2019, a group of major innovation projects will settle down in Shenzhen, including the big data and artificial intelligence lab co-built by Shenzhen Longgang district's bureau for administrative services data and Peng Cheng Laboratory.
