A total of 50 delegations from 40 countries are being showcased at the Belt & Road Area and International Pavilion of the ongoing China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) 2019, located in Hall 1 of the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.
It has been the first time for delegations of Ireland, Austria, and Singapore to participate in CHTF. This year's delegation of Iran, which consists of 100 members, is the largest in scale that Iran has ever sent to CHTF.
The delegation from North Europe is displaying several imaginative renovation projects, including facial recognition technology of pigs. The technology, developed by a company named Animals, is able to quickly recognize sick pigs and carry out rapid isolation with the help of artificial intelligence and the internet of things.
The Ireland delegation has brought its semiconductor laser produced by Eblana Photonics Ltd, the largest supplier in the industry, to the exhibition.
Jim Somers, CEO of Eblana, said that although this was the first time for the company to participate in the event, it has carried out close cooperation with Shenzhen, as it has many suppliers from Shenzhen and cooperative companies like Han's Laser.
Hungary has established itself as a major cooperation partner of CHTF this year, as the year 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Hungary and China. An innovation day activity will be held during this year's fair.
Laszlo Palkovics, Hungary's Minister of Innovation and Technology, said that he hopes to showcase Hungary's history in innovation during the past 300 years. "I hope we can carry out more cooperation with China in areas such as brain science, physics, and space technology," he added.
